Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. First of all I'm NOT a junk food junkie who eats Fast Food everyday of the week scarfing down 900 empty calories of sugary coke & french fries. If I go into one of these places, as is the case here, I get a Whopper Jr out of convienence, discard the bottom bun and eat it like a slice of pizza and I'm on my way getting on my day. This store is across the street from where I live and if there is a worse BK Franchise, I dont even want to know about it! First of all theres a bucket that sits at the end of the line where you place your order catching the water dripping from the ceiling when it rains. You'd think this situation would be rectified immediatly right? IT HAS NOT. Secondly lets establish that by any means of the imagination that THIS is NOT "Rocket Science" Its "Fast" Food (& I use the term "fast" quite sparingly in this case). How these people manage to get thier clothes on in the morning is beyond me. The wait times are through the roof for a simple order as mine and many times after waiting 5 min or more, I have said "Just give me my money back!" If this was "Rocket Science" they would have blown the place up by now. Like I said if there is another BK franchise worse than this one I feel sorry for anyone who is exposed to it. I prefer BK to McDonalds if I'm going to solicite any of these places BUT BK has a serious problem and its evident by googling "BK 800 #" and reading the complaints people have left and testify that the company hides behind its "Customer Service" veil and in fact doesnt even have a 800#. I suppose theres a reason for this and I surmise its because of stores like this one. I'm writing this after waiting over 5 min. for a simple Whopper Jr at 11:30 and no lunch time crowd in the store. I stood there and watched as the lady in charge of putting the orders in the bags constantly kept looking at the tickets on the bags as the warm table filled up with orders being processed by the person making them. CLUELESS. Meanwhile the woman manager is in the office doing who knows what. Again- CLUELESS. And when I tell her she has a serious problem she tells me "Sir youa no a suppose to coma backa here" At which point I told her "Well maybe you need to get your ass out her instead of sitting in the office!" The Home Office needs to address this store and completely change the management who obviously like so many business's here in Miami -Dont give a damn. But who am I to tell a Multi Gazillion dollar business what they should and shouldnt be doing? Answer: The Customer thats who. I'll be avoiding this store more often then having these clueless people waste my time standing around.

Maan this place is slow as hell at all times of day. The perk is that they make sure to keep you entertained with a couple of flat screen televisions. But it's always on channel 7.

Drive thru server refused to sell me a soda after because I forgot to order one at the menu speaker. Gave me major attitude, horrible service.

Another disappointing BK. While I may be writing about my general opinion of the chain, I'd like to include that this particular location is NOT fast food. It is slow food with the same quality, whether it be through the drive thru or walk in. Insifficient parking. The drive-thru space is tiny so be prepared to wait in line in the middle of the street. Prices are considerably higher than most other BKs. Enough said?

The only McDonald's we saw in Miami Beach was closed for renovations. But who needs McDonald's when you've got Burger King? The BK Whopper not only tastes better than the McDonald's Big Mac, it's also a healthy alternative - once you get past the red meat thing: The Whopper is grilled rather than fried. It has onions, which contain quercetin and other flavonoids and phenolics that have potential anti-inflammatory, anti-cholesterol, anti-cancer and antioxidant properties. And the Whopper also includes tomatoes, which contain lycopene, a carotenoid phytochemical that has been shown to protect against oxidative damage, may inhibit some types of cancers and protects the skin from UV sunrays. Just make sure that you ask them to hold the cheese (saturated fat) and pickles (carcinogenic) - which shouldn't be a problem since their 1970s "special orders don't upset us - have it your way" jingle still applies. (Try asking for a "special order" at Mickey D's and you'll be waiting for your burger until the cows come home!) I ordered a regular Whopper and my wife had a jalapeno-laden "Angry Whopper". This BK has the modern-type, computer screen soda fountains that offer more than a hundred varieties of soda, so we were able to share a caffeine-free Diet Coke with lime. My Whopper was well made and tasted great. My wife really liked her Angry Whopper too. The restaurant interior was clean. And the prices were lower than at Burger Kings back home in NYC. All-in-all, this place is a better than average BK.

I waited over 25 minutes to get two burgers and onion rings. After waiting the 25 minutes I requested to speak with the manger and upon his arrival he wasn't apologetic at all. He simply formed me that he was short staffed and that my food will be next. That took another five minutes. After finally getting my food, the sandwich was made incorrectly and the onion rings were cold. I took the cold onion rings back to the cashier and asked to speak to the manger and he told her I had to wait. I waited for five minutes before I had the cashier request him again. Not only were my onion rings cold, they also had French fries mixed in with them. After showing him this he never apologized, but offered to get me new onion rings. I will never return to this location again. The manager's name was Leo.

How can I give one star and still be here!!! Well I live in SOBE and I am starving! Don't even know where to begin and wish I was speaking to someone instead of writing! I seriously fear for my stomach when I come here. Something has to give! This place is horrible!! The employees are miserable and I am afraid they will poison my food! I will be writing to the BK corp tomorrow!

This Burger King is a joke .. The multiple occasions I have been here (craving cheap fast burger ) they have tolls me there credit card machines were down ALL DAY.. Are you kidding ?? After I waited in the carpool line for 30 minutes they tell me this. And another time after I waited in line inside they tell me this.. For having the headquarters here in Miami I have no idea how they let this happen. Get it together you joke of a fast food joint .

So every Monday I come here after picking up my son from school and get a snack for us and do homework. The food is OK the service SUCKS and man at times they are SLOW at getting your food out. But the general manager, this little chubby guy has no idea what customer service is, I knew many customers can be a huge pain because a manage myself but you gotta take the good with the bad. But this guy wow! The cashier made a mistake on my burger and I wanted the one I ordered not the mistake, and it was a 2 dollar difference so I get my burger but not my 2 bucks back I had to ask for it back and on top of that he gives it to me in coins, like saying here you go f##ker!

Been here a handful of times and you would think I learned my lesson. I must be a glutton for punishment. This BK probably earned an award for being the slowest on the planet! Both inside and at the drive -thru. This place is always busy and they have ONE person taking orders. Plus today drove the last nail through their coffin. Seriously, how can you serve a burger on a sopping wet bun???? Not only did I wait in line to order, I waited to get my food, then I waited again along with others to return the crap! No lie, there were three other people complaining about their food. On top of that, the tables are sticky because they don't clean them. Some people refuse to throw out their own garbage so it sits there forever. Maybe they can learn from the homeless guy that was there.Once he finished his meal, he pulled out a sponge from the bag on his walker and wiped down the table before he left!

2 cup water limit per vehicle is nonsense. You cant limit something that is free. No wonder there are so many drunk drivers on the macarthur. It is because of bk not letting people sober up!!

  • Justin C.

This burger king charges 9.5 % sales tax!! miami beach, fl sales tax is 7%. I confirmed this on a government website. I brought this issue up to the manager and she says "you can call corporate about that" and walks away. Besides the tax rip off issue, they messed up my order. This is illegal what they are doing with the tax in this store. please dont give into this. Wake up people and pay attention to detail!!!

The worst Burger King location EVER!!!!! ZERO STARS!!! The service is AWFUL!!!! The drive thru attendants NEVER SMILE or say thank you. They act like I'm inconveniencing them. If you hate your job so much, then find a new one! And 30min in the drive thru line??? Can you go any slower??? This is not fast food and the last time I was there, they were out of everything chicken related and the drive thru attendant practically tried to fight me bc I asked why she was being so rude. Bad business model. Needs to be taken over by new management or SHUT DOWN.

dont judge me. im a whore for sweet potato fries so i could not resist when i heard that bk now has a pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries as a side. so i came by for lunch this afternoon. not the best idea ive had so far today. service wasnt that slow as most other reviewers note, but i didnt do drive thru, i walked in. my order was ready within four/five minutes but the sweet potato fries werent hot or fresh. apparently they had been sitting for a while... the pulled pork was ok, a bit too sweet for my taste. wont be coming back for more. for $8 you cant really expect much more but i cant give this bk any more than 2 stars cause i dont like it when people fuck with my sweet potato fries.

0 Stars. This Burger King will steal your money! I recently moved to South Beach. I assumed the price of the sausage and cheese biscuits were just more expensive here than what I was used to in the Midwest. Until about a week ago I went in and the woman charged me the price that they used to, so I became curious... The next time I drove through, a different woman gave me the higher price. I told her it should be less. She acted really guilty and walked away. She came back and gave me a total $4 dollars less than what she had just said (again, acting really shady). They were charging me $2 extra for each sandwich! I know it's only $2, but I have embarrassingly gotten quite a few of these things so it adds up, but wait IT GETS WORSE. Earlier today, I walked in and asked for my normal order of two of the sausage and cheese biscuits. The man gave me the high total. I told him I was pretty sure he was mistaken. He brought over a woman who confirmed the high price??? I was confused and just gave them the money. While waiting for my food, I noticed the menu said that a sausage biscuit is only $1!!!!! I asked the man why I was paying $2 extra when I was only adding cheese and what the deal was. He talked with the manager and told me that I had to pay extra because of "THE WAY I WAS ASKING FOR IT". They said I need to order it different'y. I couldn't believe it. I made an official complaint by telephone. They were supposed to call me back. They sent and email back saying that THEY CAN'T CONTROL THE PRICE AT ALL BURGER KINGS. OMG!!!!!! I understand, BURGER KING, that these are separate franchises that can have different prices, BUT NO BURGER KING CAN CHARGE MORE THAN WHAT THEIR MENU SAYS AND THEN REFUSE TO GIVE A REFUND. This is by far the WORST BURGER KING I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Everyone there sucks.

The beach does not have to much to offer when it comes to drive thru's and quick fast bites. We pulled in and the drive thru line was super long so we went in. We were waiting on a friend and got a bit hungry before dinner. We rarely ever go to fast food joints but we were desperate for a quick snack. It took literally twenty minutes to get our food. Lack of service is an understatement here. The staff could care less about service, they move like turtles. Oh gee, management seriously needs to fix their major problems here. It was about three 0'Clock in the afternoon and the inside was not busy so there was no excuse. Should have read previous review! Lesson learned.... It was like they were getting the beef from another country, that is how long it took to get two cheeseburgers and water. Seriously, what a mess of a store. Thank goodness I have never been a fan of fast food joints. Yuk, stay far away from this location. Next time, go to Walgreen's across the street.

There is a sign outside that says 24 hours... We drove through and they tell us that they don't serve breakfest. Given the fact that it was advertised as 24 hours, we did show up around 4 in the morning. I should have just helped them out and ripped off the sign. I went across the street picked up some subway ate it in their parking lot. during that time we were just watching others do the same. after a little while I started suggesting people to hit subway. Their new sandwich is pretty good the "chicken pizzoli" i think its called
